Circe is a book written by Madeline Miller, it is a retelling of the myth of the sorceress Circe. This book is about Circe who is seen as less beautiful and isn't like her siblings, Pasiphae and Perses, or anyone else so she is disliked by multiple gods. She has a power of witchcraft and she can turn her rivals into monsters and threaten the gods. Circe is banished on an island because of her strange powers for quite some time. During this time she navigates through love, loss and motherhood.

She had a teaching and tutoring job of latin, greek, and Shakespeare. The Song Of Achilles was her first novel followed by Circe where she got New York Times Bestseller for both as well as other prizes and recognition for work.
