Colm Tóibín, was born in Enniscorthy, County Wexford, Ireland on May 30, 1955. Before becoming a journalist and travel writer, he was an English teacher while living in Barcelona in 1975-1978. He is the author of House of Names which focuses mostly on Clytemnestra and Greek mythology. Tóibín was considered a very busy person. It all started in 1990 when he published his first novel at the age of 35. Since that time, he published an additional eleven books, three reported books, other collections of essays and much more.
